Our exclusive new range of Japanese papers, hand bound in a convenient and sturdy book. Hakuho select. Mark Hearld print.

Paper has played a significant role in Japanese culture for well over 1000 years. Its intrinsic qualities of warmth, resilience and durability have seen it used in the manufacture of the widest imaginable range of products for daily living, ritual and the arts. At Awagami Factory, a sixth-generation family-run paper mill, tradition and innovation meet. Awagami papers are made from traditional natural fibres: Kozo and Gampi as well as non-tree fibres such as Bamboo, Cotton and Hemp and are suitable for many printmaking techniques as well as other art mediums.

Made from Kozo and Cotton, it is the first fine art paper to feature this unique East meets West fibre blend. Acid free, natural white, no optical brighteners. Ideal for all dry media, inks and very light watercolour washes.

Finished book size is 13.5 x 11.75cms
